We do everything possible as a recycling business to help keep Britain green.  As well as diverting mattresses from landfill, we love supporting a range of charities and partner with some great campaigns.

We proudly support the amazing work carried out by a charity that since 1972 has tirelessly worked hard to ensure the woodlands we and future generations can enjoy are preserved to ensure a functioning clean environment.  The Woodland Trust has since become the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity.

They now care for 1,000 woods, covering 26,000 hectares across the UK.

Ancient woodland supports more species than any other UK landscape.  However, it faces many threats, including developments, like new roads and airport expansions and what we believe is its greatest threat, climate change.

By acquiring woods and woodland sites, campaigning for better protection of woodland and working in partnership with others, they aim to protect and restore the UK’s precious woodland heritage to its full glory.

Their objectives:

  1. No further loss of ancient woodland
The creation of new native woodland
    3. The restoration and improvement of woodland biodiversity
    4. An increase in people’s understanding and enjoyment of woods

You could help them continue this vital work by choosing them as your charity, helping to ensure that the special peace and beauty of our native woodland will still be here for the future.

We are proud to support an environmentally-focused charity that has been active for over 100 years seeking to improve our environment.  Environmental Protection UK (EPUK) is one of the UK’s oldest civil society associations.

It aims to continue to improve the quality of life for all UK residents by working for a cleaner, healthier and a more sustainable UK.

It’s a national charity that provides expert policy analysis and information on not just land quality but also air and noise quality and their effects on people and communities in terms of a wide range of issues including public health, planning, transport, energy and climate.

At Eco Matt Recycling we understand the need for EPUK’s valuable work, in particular to landfills’ decomposing waste which is responsible for the contamination of soil, groundwater, and nearby vegetation. These factors present a significant risk to human health and the environment, and with increasing pressure to redevelop brownfield land to meet the UK’s housing demands, land quality continues to raise the environmental agenda.

EPUK’s land quality work is aimed at promoting integrated policies and practices that encourage the use and reuse of land in a way that protects human health and the environment.

They offer clear and critical analysis of UK government policy proposals through a range of high-quality publications and expert-led events, as well as up-to-date regulatory information through a comprehensive guide to UK legislation by bringing together policy-makers, business, local authorities and academics to enable and foster successful partnerships for environmental action and provide networking opportunities to support the careers of environmental professionals and allow them to share best practice.
